My best suggestion is simply get out there and get involved! We don't need to wait around for someone or a group to organize an outreach project or event. Watch for opportunities (especially the little ones that sometimes have the most impact). Make a batch of cookies for a neighbor 2 doors down from you...It's even more fun if you do it secretly and leave them wondering. Join a card making club. Grab a couple of garbage bags this Spring and clean up a neighborhood. Next time you pick up your double-double at Tim's thank who served you and tell them they are doing a great job. Simply SMILE and say "hello" when you pass someone. Take part in one of the community walk/runs. Our family did the Jingle Bell Jog in support of the Beaumont Community Youth Centre (We came in last

). The idea is to get "out" of the church building and "into" the community. Don't be afraid to attend events at or with other churches in our community. Develope unity between denominations. The possibilities are endless, we just have to get past the attitudes that there are not enough hours in the day, we don't know how to get started, we're not extroverted enough, fear of rejection or that we need to be acknowledged for our "deeds". We're not in this alone...Jesus has provided us with everything we need to reach out to Beaumont. Amen.
