Youth Ministry

Pastor Bernd Heyde (A.K.A Bernie) has been encouraging our youth and young adults in their spiritual journey since 2007.

When and Where? We meet for a bible study every other Tuesday from 3:30-5 pm here at church. The bible study goes through discovering your SHAPE.
Once a month a fun activity is planned. Time and place changes monthly so reach out to the office to be added to the list for information.

Who?  Kids age 10 to grade 12 can come and connect.

Youth are the most passionate people on the planet and the world needs their input. At BCC we realize that God has created every teen to be significant and we want to explore what that means for young people here in Beaumont. Part of our strategy is being purposefully intergenerational.

Personal Stories:

I doubt that I'm the only one who felt like the school years were a lions' den, and I know that this youth group played a major role in getting me through with my faith and relationship with God intact. I needed quality people to walk with me through the years of change, discovery and peer pressure. These people- the leaders, my fellow students- supported me all the way through, in the way a family would. The things I learned each bible study equipped me for real life in the trenches, so to speak. Attending youth at BCC shaped me. It was a safe haven; my peers weren't there to compete with me, they were there to work with me. It was a challenge; I was pushed to dig deeper. As a seventh grader I had twelfth graders to inspire me to go on to bigger and better things, and as a senior myself, I found that I had become a role model. I've been changed for good, I believe, and for it I'm grateful.

I remember my first time going to youth I felt almost like I was going to a new school. I was scared no one would like me and I would be judged. I was strongly mistaken! I was welcomed in and quickly introduced to everyone. In no time I had made amazing friends! I love going every week and learning about how to get closer to God! We always have a lot of fun together and I have amazing friends there! I'm so glad I have something to look forward to every week!

"And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.  We implore you on Christ's behalf to be reconciled to God."

2 Corinthians 5:19b-20
